Best Wishes

Our last day of Kindergarten has come. I want to thank each family for allowing me the oportunity
to learn and grow with your son or daughter this year. Please celebrate your child's success. I am very proud to be your son or daughter's kindergarten teacher. I wish each and everyone a wonderful Summer and all the best in grade one! Please keep in touch and remember to read and write over the Summer.

Shining Waters Field trip on Thursday June 23rd

Please make sure permission forms and $10.00 is in by
Wednesday, June 22nd. Please let teacher know if you
will be attending.

Friendship Fruit Salad

On June 22nd we will be making friendship fruit salad.
If each child wants to bring in a fruit we will cut, chop and peel
to see what we create! The children love this activity!

ACC Spring Concert This Friday-June 10th

I just wanted to make a friendly reminder that the Spring Concert is this coming Friday!It is at 1:00.Some parents are wondering if there is a kindergarten graduation......There is no Kindergarten graduation but we are singing in the school concert. We look forward to seeing you.

A Royal Tea Party

Thanks to Lilith's grammie. We had a royal tea party. She made us royal menus.

Math Homework This week

I have sent home a family math task for this week.
How many flavors of ice cream do you know? Explain your answer.
Have fun with this and send it back as soon as possible.

We created our own morning message

Wow....The children wrote there own message.
Look at the inventive spelling!
The message says:
Good morning Kindergarten.
The season is spring.
Today is Thursday.
Have a good day.
As you can see, we are working on sounding out words, left to right printing, and that sentences start with a capital and end with a period. Please Please practice at home!!Children need to write every day to become fluent!!!

It is time for sunscreen!

The nice weather is approaching....FINALLY!!
It is the parent's responsibility to make sure sunscreen is applied to his or her child.
Please make sure that your child has the proper sunscreen.
You can apply before Kindergarten and send a bottle of sunscreen in to Kindergarten.
Please label  the sunscreen with your child's name if you send it to Kindergarten.
I will give extra time for your child to apply his or her own sunscreen.
Thank you for your concern in this matter.

Banana Split Day

We are having a banana split day on Wednesday June1st!
I am supplying the ice-cream. I am looking for parents to help with the following items:
bananas
chocolate sauce- Emily
caramel sauce
strawberry sauce
bottle of cherries
sprinkles- Jenna
bowls
spoons
napkins
Please make a note in your child's agenda if you can bring in an item.

Picnic Re-scheduled

We are going on a picnic Thursday, May 12th. 
We will walk to Gateway, play outdoors and eat lunch.
We plan to leave the school at 10:45 and return at 12:30.
Please dress for the weather.

Not A Box by Antoinette Portis

We are having fun with the following book.
I am asking each child to bring in a box for Tuesday, May 10th. We are going to use our imaginations and make fun creations with the box!

We are going on a picnic!

We are walking to Gateway to play and have a picnic.
We plan to go on Wednesday, May 11th. If it is raining we will go the following day May 12th.
