April 11-15

Monday- Journals Writing and Computer lab
Tuesday and all week- Lessons about the Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Each child will take the book home to share with his or her family. Please read it together and return it the next day so all children get a turn to take it home. There are many great lessons at http://www.teachingheart.net/veryhungrycaterpillar.html
Wednesday- we are now working on patterns: ABCABCABCABC.....An example could be red, green, yellow, red green, yellow,etc,etc
Thursday- Butterfly craft and group time with Mrs. Bryanton's class
Friday- Show and Tell

How many days for seeds to grow?

We planted grass seeds today, April 7, and predicted how many days it will take to grow. The estimates were from 1-100! We are on day 5 and still no grass!

Cupcakes for Easter Seals

Fieldtrip to hospital and lunch

We have a field trip planned on April 28th to the Prince County Hospital and then out for lunch.Thanks to Rachel and Jeremy for their help.

April is here!

April Showers bring May flowers!
We are learning about Spring.
We have made and put out bird feeders at ACC.
We are learning the letter Uu and planting seeds.
We are doing more problem-solving tasks in Math. This week using the book The Doorbell Rang by Pat Hutchins. We are also exploring in math by using the scales and discussing the concept of heavy and light. There is lots of learning happening in Kindergarten!
